What to Look Forward to at VFUM

2024 Teams

This season we aim to include both men's and women's teams for all divisions, which includes:

  • Premier League (Division 1 & 2)

  • State League (Division 1, 2 & 3) 

  • Junior Premier (U19s) 

  • Youth State League U17s

  • Youth State League U15s

Our Past Accolades

  • Overall 2nd place in the 2023 State League as a club, with a season result of 11 out of 12 teams making finals , 4 teams claiming gold medals and a total of 8 MVPs!

  • 2022 ACVC national champions and 2023 runners up.

  • 4 nationally accredited coaches and 2 state coaches.

Try-outs

Structure

Try-outs will be separated into three stages:

First stage (Jan 9-12)
This stage will be a general test of skills and knowledge.

Second stage (Jan 16-18)
The following week will focus more on specific skills.

Third stage (Jan 23-25)
The third and final stage will be more team-based to determine the level to which each player is suited.

Juniors (U19, U17, U15)

For all juniors (including U19s) trying out, please register for the junior teams. High performing juniors will be invited to be part of senior teams post tryouts.

Post Try-out Events

Players selected and confirmed to play in State League 2024 are invited and highly encouraged to participate in pre-season tournaments. These are the Seaside Warrnambool Tournament and Ballarat Skins, which are held in the middle and end of March respectively.

Fees

The estimated minimum cost for State League 2024 will be $600.
We understand the increased price compared to prior years is not ideal. As a not-for-profit organisation, we minimise costs to players wherever possible. Payment plans will be available to those who do not wish to pay the full price upfront.

To try-out please attend one of the following sessions:

You may be asked to move between time slots, so please make sure to keep those evenings free as much as possible.
